A channel target is the mechanism through which the agent places outbound calls or receives inbound ones. You can acquire a channel target by using either a Syllable-managed number or integrating your own telephony provider, such as Twilio. To use a Syllable-managed channel, go to the Integrations section of the platform and select Twilio Voice/SMS. From there, click the Buy number button to provision a phone number directly against that integration. If you prefer to use your own Twilio account, you can enter your account code in the same Integrations section to set up a custom channel. Trial users can acquire one phone number for free using the Twilio Voice/SMS channel to get started. Once you’ve acquired a channel target, you need to link it to an agent. Go to the Channels tab, click New Channel, and associate the channel target with the agent you’ve selected.Documentation Index
